The gallery.
My gallery page of art in the mediums of oil, watercolor, acrylic, conte crayon, pastels, colored pencils,
ink, and whatever else is available around me.
The first oil painting I sold was of sunflowers in a vase that I had finished to hopefully get into a school
of art. My second oil painting was of Peggy's Cove in Nova Scotia, Canada. My third oil painting I had sold in
the Gatineau Hills just after I finished it. I am sorry I do not have photographs to show, however I will have
a new piece soon to display on my website.
My watercolors that take little time to paint compared to any of my oil paintings I have been successful in
getting a picture for my portfolio on display here and with me when I go on tour.
First up, my very first large work at two feet by one and a half is of a steam engine train. I was inspired by one of
those ceramic plates that are sold through mail order and actually spent a couple of weeks to a month on it. I
still have the flyer of the picture I painted from.
So, my most recent watercolor is a recreation of a painting I did for a doctor's office. The first one was severely
damaged in one of my moves from city to city. This is one of those times I am very thankful for my camera and the
photograph I had taken of the subject. A female Mallard duck on the water by Billings Bridge Plaza in Ottawa, Ontario,
Canada. It was a very peaceful fall day when I had started the original painting and I had taken the picture to work
from at home as it was a day that the rain came out all of a sudden causing me to pack up and run home, literally.
Well, I did have my bicycle, so 'run' should be ride.
All my in-betweens as I call them are: swan on water, a few water fountains, birds, a couple of seascapes, flowers,
one or two landscapes, and so on. I will have to dig through my portfolio cases and see. I also painted a couple of
farm scenes and many sunsets/rises. I love watercolor for that.
Of my acrylic paintings I think I have yet to do something larger than fourteen inches by seventeen inches. I have a nude
on a beach towel, two ballet students chatting, Japanese male guitarist, sunflowers, two still lifes,
a couple of dragons, and one fall scene (in progress).
Drawings done in conte crayon are a short series on flamenco dancer model. Others are sketches in pencil, pen and conte of
life drawings, birds, street scenes, from video games, and so on.
My paintings and prints for sale here.
